Kelly Hodgkiss is a North East producer and storyteller, dedicated to bringing real people’s voices to the screen.
Kelly is co‑founder of Here You Belong, a North Shields–based film and media production company. She specialises in documentaries about community stories.
Kelly began making films aged 17 years old, when she trained at the Linskill Centre, a community centre in North Shields. She gained hands‑on production experience through intensive film courses.
Today, she leads on producing and project management, working closely with communities, creatives, and organisations to help them tell their “real story” with honesty, dignity, and warmth. Her work has supported charities, councils, voluntary groups, and under‑represented voices across the region.
Her short documentary Cramlington 2025, created with Cramlington Town Council had its community cinema release at Vue Cramlington, where local residents gathered together to see their own stories on the big screen.
Alongside film production, Kelly co-runs We Are Intertwined CIC, which makes high‑quality media workshops and training more affordable for people at the start of their careers.
