In this construction-themed residency, Year 7 pupils at Newcastle Bridges School, Kenton Campus co-designed and modelled their dream houses and dream city with artist Lindsey Stevenson and art teachers from NBS.
Pupils prepared their models and 3D city maps for a private exhibition at The Farrell Centre, Newcastle University. Their work appeared alongside the Farrell Centre’s Concrete Dreams installations, which explored the development of Newcastle’s city centre and Metro system.
After showing their teachers, families and carers around their exhibition and explaining their work, pupils, teachers, siblings, carers and GLOW Newcastle staff celebrated by building gingerbread houses in The Farrell Centre’s learning zone.
