GLOW Newcastle is a brand new organisation that has grown out of Newcastle Cultural Education Partnership. It connects young people in Newcastle with high quality cultural experiences and opportunities.
Our vision
GLOW Newcastle envisages a future where all young people aged 0-25 have equitable access to high-quality cultural opportunities, both in and out of school, to flourish as creative, connected, active and engaged members of communities.
Our mission
By adopting a co-creative and collaborative approach we aim to ensure that:
- There is greater equity of opportunity and increased engagement with arts and culture for all children and young people, particularly those from underserved groups
- Creativity and arts within the school curriculum is enhanced through education and cultural sector partnerships
- We raise the profile of arts and creativity within our communities
- Young people are aware of career pathways in the arts and cultural sector and know how to access these opportunities
- Newcastle’s creative, cultural, education, youth and health sectors become better connected and resourced
