Let’s Talk about… #3 SEND and SEMH

Let’s Talk About: How can arts and cultural practice work with education settings to support children and young people with SEND and / or SEMH needs?

GLOW Newcastle and New Writing North co-hosted a discussion-based online event, sharing key thinking from across the Education, Creative, Cultural and Public Sectors.

We welcomed over 40 practitioners to the event from across sectors. Prompted by short presentations, attendees discussed key points and questions. We’ve summarised these discussions and questions in poster form below so you can join the conversation.

We were delighted to launch our GLOW Newcastle Creative Connections Action Research Report at the event.  This report shares findings and materials from our action research project exploring how teachers and artist-practitioners work together to facilitate arts projects which support young people’s social, emotional and mental health needs.
