GLOW Professional Development

We facilitate teacher and practitioner CPD to:

  • share cross-sector expertise in creative learning
  • seed long-term, self-sustaining cultural growth and engagement
  • promote personal wellbeing among facilitators and participants

We provide bespoke workshops for schools and cultural organisations, develop and publish research to share learning from our cross-sector collaboration and host CPD events online and in person.

I loved being shown how to gather lyrics within a bank of ideas. I used it with the children the very next day” – class teacher at Sacred Heart Primary School after a CPD session on using Bandcamp software to create new music

Some of our recent CPD themes have included:

  • Emotional intelligence – developing creativity, confidence and collaboration skills through storymaking and play
  • Play, movement and learning
  • Craft for STEAM
  • Music co-creation for learners and educators
  • Sharing expertise: each one teach one – Alternative Academy Provision teaching styles and hip hop methodology
  • Ceramic sculpture
  • Drama and dance
  • Photography
  • GLOW Creative Connections
“The session was relaxed and the artist supported all staff to take part and engage. The practical activities were fun and we were able to reflect on how we might use them with the children.
I have some new ideas to take into the classroom. I will also try to take the time to be calm and still, at work and at home.” – year 4 class teacher at Hawthorn Primary School
